In lieu of a full time minister, St. Andrew's Church Lisbon rotates visiting ministers from The Church of Scotland on a quarterly basis.

Rev. Scott Guy

Scott was Minister of St Andrew’s Lhanbryd Urquhart in the Presbytery of Moray for 10 years.  He went on to become Minister of Northfield Parish Church in the Presbytery of Aberdeen where he served for 22 years before retiring in 2021.

Scott and his wife Adrienne live in the Scottish Borders town of St Boswells, Melrose.  They have three children and six grandchildren.   In his retirement, Scott continues to serve as a Locum Minister in Scottish churches and churches in the International Presbytery.  He previously served in Amsterdam, Rome, Lisbon, and Brussels.  Finally returning to Lisbon, he is very pleased to be back with St. Andrew's serving as Locum until mid-June, 2026.  

ABOUT US

St Andrew's Church of Scotland Lisbon has worshipped in Portugal since 1866 and remained in the current church sanctuary since 1899.  It is the oldest Presbyterian Church in mainland Portugal.  It has an ecumenical and international congregation.
