Rev. Eric Foggitt

Eric was born in Paris and spent his early childhood there. He spent his teenage years in Derbyshire, before studying English at Edinburgh University. He worked abroad for a few years and later obtained a theology degree from Glasgow University. He has ministered in two Scottish parishes - Buckie in the North-East of Scotland and Dunbar, near Edinburgh. For five years he served as Minister in St Andrew's church, Brussels until his retirement in May 2025. He is married to Tineke and their home is in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

ABOUT US

St Andrew's Church of Scotland Lisbon has worshipped in Portugal since 1866 and remained in the current church sanctuary since 1899.  It is the oldest Presbyterian Church in mainland Portugal.  It has an ecumenical and international congregation.
